We want your visit to be safe and happy.

The safety of our patrons is a primary concern at Grady's Family Fun Park. We have daily safety inspections performed on all of our ride attractions. We follow that up with a rigorous maintenance program that keeps our rides in excellent condition and ensures optimal performance. The State of Illinois Labor Department; Amusement Ride and Public Safety Division inspects the ride attractions before the beginning of each season. Some of our ride attractions require a non-destructive test to make sure welds and other vital structure components are in excellent condition. Grady's Family Fun Park has an excellent safety record and we want our guest experience to be the best it can be during your visit. Our staff members as required by the State of Illinois have had a criminal background check performed (17 years and older), national sex offender register check performed, have been trained in the operation of all ride attractions that they will operate, and participate in a random drug test program.

Experts estimate that approximately 80% of the incidents that do occur are the result of patron error. Rocking ride seats, taking your hands out of the car or throwing objects out of the car are all examples of behavior that result in an injury. Even though they may believe they are participating in some innocent fun, the results can be dangerous for them and the customer nearby. It is important that each guest obey the posted rules for each ride that can be found on our ride signs. Please help by reporting any violation of these rules to the ride operator as soon as you observe the behavior. By working together, we can keep our park safe and an exciting place for kids of all ages.

Carnivals and amusement parks remain one of the safest forms of entertainment available today.
