Our Story

About Grady's Family Fun Park

At Grady's Family Fun Park we work hard to provide a SAFE-CLEAN-FUN place for our guest to create memories.

Grady's is...

In 1959, James and Mary Grady created a recipe for a pizza with a sweet sauce that we are now famous for today. In 1982, the business was passed on to Jack and Bev Grady. They started a Family Entertainment Center with the same recipe for success; "If you keep the quality, you will keep the customers" - James Grady. Today these same family values go into each and every "World Famous - Grady's Pizza.

Grady's has set a reputation as a clean, wholesome place to eat and have FUN! Our Family Fun Park is a clean place for families to come, enjoy and create momories that will last a lifetime. The park offers a wide range of attractions for all ages from 10 Kiddie Rides, 5 Adult Rides, 16 Bumper Boats with Water Blasters, 16 Bumper Cars with Laser Tag, and one of the most popular attractions, NASCAR Themed Go-Karts.

In the coming years we look forward in expanding our park to create more family fun with additional thrill rides. 2019 we will add to the FUN with the Orient Express Roller Coaster.

We also have a policy that allows no unruly behavior and a dress code that is strickly enforced. This allows everyone to have a great time.

Safety First

Patron Responsibility: ASTM Standard

There are inherent risk in the participation in or on any amusement ride, device, or attraction. Patrons of an amusement ride, device, or attraction, by participation, accept the risk inherent in such participation of which the ordinary prudent person is or should be aware. Patrons have a duty to exercise good judgment and act in a responsible manner while using the amusement ride, device, or attraction and obey any oral or written instructions, restrictions, or warnings, both prior to and during participation.

Patrons have a duty to not participate in or on any amusement ride, device, or attraction when under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Patrons have a duty to properly use all ride or device safety equipment.

Height Restrictions:

For the safety of our guest, height and weight restrictions are strictly enforced on all applicable rides and attractions. Guest are carefully measured with shoes on at Grady’s Family Fun Park. Please note that guest feet must be flat on the ground. Any height enhancers such as high heels will need to be removed to get correct height measurement. With feet flat on the ground you will be measured to top of head-Not hair or hat. A height gauge is located in side golf building and in front of each ride attraction.

We want your visit to be safe and happy.

The safety of our patrons is a primary concern at Grady's Family Fun Park. We have daily safety inspections performed on all of our ride attractions. We follow that up with a rigorous maintenance program that keeps our rides in excellent condition and ensures optimal performance. The State of Illinois Labor Department; Amusement Ride and Public Safety Division inspects the ride attractions before the beginning of each season. Some of our ride attractions require a non-destructive test to make sure welds and other vital structure components are in excellent condition. Grady's Family Fun Park has an excellent safety record and we want our guest experience to be the best it can be during your visit. Our staff members as required by the State of Illinois have had a criminal background check performed (17 years and older), national sex offender register check performed, have been trained in the operation of all ride attractions that they will operate, and participate in a random drug test program.

Experts estimate that approximately 80% of the incidents that do occur are the result of patron error. Rocking ride seats, taking your hands out of the car or throwing objects out of the car are all examples of behavior that result in an injury. Even though they may believe they are participating in some innocent fun, the results can be dangerous for them and the customer nearby. It is important that each guest obey the posted rules for each ride that can be found on our ride signs. Please help by reporting any violation of these rules to the ride operator as soon as you observe the behavior. By working together, we can keep our park safe and an exciting place for kids of all ages.

Carnivals and amusement parks remain one of the safest forms of entertainment available today.
